Your new role As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for students, families, staff and visitors, providing a professional and welcoming front‑of‑house service for the academy. Working closely with the School Operations Manager and wider administration team, you will support the smooth day‑to‑day running of reception and wider school operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing reception, visitor procedures and telephone enquiries
- Supporting attendance administration and student welfare
- Coordinating appointments, deliveries and meeting room bookings
- Supporting first aid provision and safeguarding procedures
- Assisting with school events and wider operational activities
- Providing clerking and administrative support to the Academy Council, including minute‑taking and maintaining governance records
What you’ll need to succeed We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience in an administrative or customer‑facing role
- Has strong communication, organisational and IT skills
- Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Has a passion for supporting young people
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and confidentiality
Experience working within a school environment or supporting meetings/governance processes would be advantageous.
