St Helen’s Primary Academy in Barnsley is hiring a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support teaching across all year groups by delivering small-group interventions, covering whole-class lessons, and supporting teachers to help every child access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

Contract: Fixed Term (August 2027)

About the role
Working closely with teachers, you will plan and deliver small-group interventions, cover whole-class sessions when required, and help create a learning environment where each pupil feels safe, valued and inspired to achieve their best.

Qualifications
- Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience working as a teaching assistant in a primary setting.
- SEND intervention skills and awareness.
- Motivated and passionate about supporting young children to give the best start in education.
- Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship).
