Regular travel to our manufacturing site in Northamptonshire.

The role involves building brands rather than simply maintaining them. We’re looking for a commercially minded Senior Brand & Marketing Manager to help shape the next stage of our growth. Our roots are in honey, where we’ve built a substantial sourcing, manufacturing and packing operation. The business is evolving quickly with established brands and new concepts and acquisitions underway across breakfast, convenience foods, spreads and adjacent grocery categories. You’ll work directly with the founder and have real ownership across brand strategy, innovation, packaging and marketing. The founder will lead major supermarket relationships and buyer pitches; your role is to ensure we have brands and propositions worth pitching.

How you’ll work:

  • You’ll be primarily London based, with regular involvement at our manufacturing operation in Rushden, Northamptonshire, particularly around NPD, trials and launches.
  • We’re a small, entrepreneurial team with short decision-making lines. If an idea makes commercial sense, we move quickly.

You’ll probably thrive here if you:

  • Are naturally curious about consumers, brands and categories.
  • Can spot opportunities and turn them into strong propositions.
  • Enjoy taking ideas from concept through to launch.
  • Combine creative thinking with commercial judgement.
  • Understand that great marketing ultimately needs to drive distribution and rate of sale.
  • Want genuine ownership rather than managing one small part of a large organisation.

What you’ll be trusted to do:

  • Shape the positioning and direction of our existing and emerging brands.
  • Lead packaging, NPD and innovation projects.
  • Use consumer and category insight to identify new opportunities.
  • Build compelling, retailer ready propositions and presentations.
  • Develop launch plans and marketing activity that drive trial and repeat purchase.
  • Manage external creative, digital, PR and research partners where needed.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, technical and commercial teams to ensure ideas are both exciting and viable.
  • Build a clear marketing and innovation roadmap across the portfolio.

What we’re looking for:

Ideally, you’ll have strong experience in food, drink or FMCG brand marketing, whether with an established business, challenger brand or both. We’d particularly like to hear from people with hands-on experience in brand development, NPD, packaging, consumer insight and grocery retail. Experience across ambient grocery, breakfast, spreads, snacking, health, natural products or convenience food would be particularly relevant. We’re less interested in whether you’ve followed a conventional career path and more interested in what you’ve actually built, launched and grown. You won’t be inheriting a finished brand plan. You’ll be joining while several important products and brands are still being shaped, with direct access to the founder, genuine influence over strategy and investment, and a substantial UK manufacturing operation behind you. There is a lot to build.
