We are a well-established Weybridge law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality legal services across Surrey and the surrounding areas. Due to continued growth, our Family Department is looking for an experienced Family Lawyer to join our supportive and collaborative team.
The Role
You will manage, independently, a varied caseload of private family matters, working closely with the Head of Department and playing a key role in the department’s continued development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload including:
- Divorce and separation
- Financial remedy proceedings
- Private children matters
- Pre- and post-nuptial agreements
- Cohabitation agreements and disputes
- TOLATA claims
- Provide clear, empathetic and strategic advice to clients
- Draft legal documents, attend hearings and conduct negotiations
- Support business development, networking and client relationships
- Assist with departmental supervision during the Head of Department’s absence
- Work closely with colleagues and report to the Head of Department
About You
- 4+ years’ PQE in family law, with a private client focus
- Strong technical ability and a proactive approach
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Keen to support the growth of the department
