If you are interested in joining as a Member or Trustee, please complete the relevant application form. Please note that due to the number of applications received, the board may operate a waiting list of potential applicants. You will be advised on application if this is the case, and when an appropriate vacancy on the board becomes available, we will be in touch.
Meadowhead School currently has two co-opted/community trustee vacancies, and we’d love to hear from people who want to make a real difference to the lives of young people in our community. You don’t need specific qualifications — just enthusiasm, commitment, and a desire to support our school. Skills in HR, finance, safeguarding, governance, or equality & diversity are a bonus, but not essential.
As a trustee, you’ll help shape the vision and direction of one of Sheffield’s largest secondary schools, develop valuable professional skills, and contribute to positive outcomes for over 2,000 students. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including those with diverse cultural heritage, disabilities, and experiences, to ensure our governing body truly reflects the vibrant and varied makeup of our school.
We’re looking for new Members to join Meadowhead School Academy Trust! Trust Members play a vital role as the guardians of governance, ensuring the Trust fulfils its charitable objectives and that our board of trustees is performing effectively. This voluntary role involves:
- Providing strategic oversight
- Receiving annual reports and accounts
- Appointing trustees and auditors
- Helping to ensure strong, accountable governance across the Trust
The commitment is light — typically one meeting per year (the AGM) — and training is fully provided. If you’re passionate about supporting education and want to make a meaningful contribution to one of Sheffield’s largest secondary schools, we’d love to hear from you.
