Operating all year round, the park offers touring and camping pitches alongside holiday accommodation including Wigwams, shepherd huts and holiday homes. We welcome guests from across the UK and internationally, delivering a high-quality visitor experience within a fast-paced hospitality and tourism environment.

The Role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Duty Manager will play a key operational leadership role within the day-to-day management of the caravan and camping park. This is a hands-on operational management position with responsibility across reception, reservations, administration, retail operations, accommodation standards, housekeeping coordination and wider park operations. The successful candidate will support the overall operational performance of the park whilst helping to lead and develop a customer-focused team. The role requires a proactive and highly organised individual who is capable of managing multiple operational priorities within a busy guest-facing environment. You will lead from the front, support daily operational delivery and assist in maintaining the high standards expected across all areas of the business. This position will also involve wider duty management responsibilities across the park operation, including supporting operational decision making, responding to guest issues, assisting with health and safety compliance and ensuring exceptional presentation and service standards are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the day-to-day operational management of the caravan and camping park across reception, reservations, retail, administration and housekeeping departments
  • Lead, supervise and support front of house and housekeeping teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences and high operational standards
  • Manage guest enquiries, feedback and complaint resolution in a professional and customer-focused manner
  • Coordinate accommodation turnaround operations, inspections and overall park presentation standards
  • Assist with recruitment, induction, training and ongoing team development
  • Support duty management responsibilities including operational decision making, incident response and guest escalations
  • Complete administrative, reporting and cash handling procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety compliance, safe working practices and operational procedures across the park
  • Work closely with the wider management team to support occupancy, operational performance and continuous improvement across the business
  • Maintain a hands-on, proactive and flexible approach within a fast-paced hospitality and tourism environment

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality, tourism, leisure or accommodation operations
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced operational environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Competent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and email systems
  • A practical, hands-on and flexible approach to work
  • Confidence managing operational challenges and guest expectations
  • Full UK driving licence preferred
