Meadowbrook Primary School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and reliable Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join the team on a fixed-term basis from October 2026 until 31st August 2027. This role is for 32.5 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday 8:30am – 3:30pm, term time only plus INSET days.
Working alongside class teachers, you will support and enhance the academic progress of learners with special educational needs and disabilities. We are looking for a kind, dedicated, and considerate HLTA with the energy and enthusiasm to support and nurture some of our most vulnerable learners.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Meet the national HLTA standards through relevant qualifications, training and experience.
- Hold GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
- Hold an NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants, or an equivalent qualification and relevant experience.
- Have experience supporting teaching and learning within a primary school setting.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
