We are looking for a hardworking and reliable Groundsman to maintain the outdoor areas of our property/facility. The ideal candidate will ensure that lawns, gardens, sports fields, and other outdoor spaces are clean, safe, and well‑maintained.
Hours: Shift‑based, including weekends and public holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mow, trim, and edge lawns, gardens, and sports fields.
- Plant, water, and maintain flowers, shrubs, trees, and other greenery.
- Remove weeds, leaves, litter, and debris from grounds.
- Operate and maintain landscaping and gardening equipment (lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, etc.).
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides safely, following regulations.
- Maintain pathways, fences, and outdoor structures.
- Assist with drainage and irrigation systems.
- Report any damage, hazards, or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Follow health and safety regulations when working with equipment or chemicals.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or gardening preferred.
- Knowledge of plants, lawns, and horticultural practices.
- Ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment safely.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Attention to detail and pride in maintaining neat, orderly grounds.
- Teamwork and good communication skills.
Desirable: Outdoor spaces, including parks, gardens, sports fields, estates, or commercial properties. May require weekend or flexible hours depending on the needs of the property.
