Job Summary
The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality, safety, and consistency while managing staff, stock, and costs. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and the ability to maintain high standards in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily kitchen operations and service flow.
- Lead, train, and supervise kitchen staff.
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented to company standards.
- Maintain strict food hygiene, health & safety, and sanitation standards.
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage deliveries.
- Control food costs, waste, and portioning.
- Create staff schedules and manage shift coverage.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report faults.
- Support menu development and seasonal updates where required.
- Handle kitchen-related issues or complaints efficiently.
