We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Teacher of History to join our fantastic team at MEA Central. This is a permanent post, to start in September 2026, teaching terms MPS-UPS. A qualified and experienced Teacher of History, eligible to work in the UK with successful experience in the 11-16 phase, will be expected to have thorough subject knowledge, current curriculum awareness, and the ability to deliver quality teaching that drives achievement and inspires a love of learning. They will also demonstrate experience of achieving positive outcomes for pupils and be passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people. As a committed team player they will have excellent organisational skills and the natural ability to motivate both pupils and peers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure students experience an educational programme personalised to their needs, developing their skills and abilities.
- Actively promote relevant History subject related activities to promote students' enthusiasm and interest.
- Work collaboratively within the History subject team to reflect the whole school vision.
- Foster a positive working environment in the History curriculum area that supports students' learning.
- Act as a form tutor for a group of students, contributing to pastoral development.
- Contribute to the provision of a range of enrichment and extra‑curricular activities across the curriculum area.
