We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Pastoral Manager to join our fantastic team at MEA Central. This is a permanent post, working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £28,507, with a full-time equivalent of £33,143 (Grade 6). Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding pastoral care and guidance to a designated year group, developing positive links between home and school.
- Address attendance, behaviour, pastoral, and welfare issues, leading the school in supporting students who require additional care to overcome learning barriers.
- Collaborate with all school staff and external support agencies to support student wellbeing.
- Provide accurate attendance, punctuality, behaviour and other pastoral data to Governors, Leaders, and staff as required.
- Lead the supervision of the school, supporting all staff to maintain a positive learning environment and enforce high expectations, including out‑of‑lesson supervision, on‑call duties, detention, and strategic behaviour interventions.
Qualifications
A suitably qualified Pastoral Leader with a good understanding of current relevant issues and developments within education. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to relate to all sectors of the school community, and a proven ability to identify barriers to learning and engagement, including effective behaviour management strategies.
