Leading MEP Contracting are seeking an Electrical Site Manager for a Custodial project located near to Newmarket.
Role Summary
- Responsible for on site delivery of all electrical services
- Manage works from installation through testing, commissioning and handover
- Report directly to the Project Manager
- Take ownership of daily coordination and site supervision
- Ensure works are delivered safely, to programme and specification
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day to day electrical installation activities on site
- Supervise direct labour and electrical subcontractors
- Allocate tasks and monitor progress against programme
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Mechanical Site Manager and other trades
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, RAMS and company policies
- Review electrical drawings and specifications
- Identify issues and raise RFIs where required
- Manage materials, deliveries and plant requirements
- Oversee quality inspections, testing, commissioning and snagging
- Maintain site records including daily reports, labour returns and progress updates
- Attend progress and coordination meetings
- Provide proactive leadership and problem solving support to the project team
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager or Senior Electrical Supervisor
- Background within MEP or building services contracting
- Strong technical knowledge of LV systems, containment, power distribution and lighting
- Experience on commercial fit out, custodial, healthcare, education or mixed-use projects
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Good understanding of health and safety and quality procedures
- SMSTS or SSSTS
- CSCS
- Relevant electrical qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent
- Professional and proactive approach to client and team relationships
