Electrical Project Manager –Industrial Fit-out Project Essex An excellent opportunity for an Electrical Project Manager to join a market-leading M&E Contractor based in Essex. This role provides full project ownership of an industrial fit-out, along with ongoing opportunities for career progression. The successful candidate will oversee all electrical services, working closely with the mechanical project manager to ensure smooth execution of the project. Key Responsibilities * Lead and manage the electrical services package, ensuring the installation of LV power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, security systems, containment, and BMS to the highest standards. * Oversee design coordination, procurement, and resource allocation, ensuring all electrical works are completed on time and within budget. * Work closely with subcontractors, CDP specialists, and internal teams to ensure seamless integration with mechanical services. * Conduct quality control inspections, risk assessments, and site safety checks to maintain compliance with regulations and project requirements. * Monitor financial performance, working with the Quantity Surveyor to manage budgets, variations, and subcontractor payments. * Attend and lead client, consultant, and contractor meetings, providing technical input and ensuring project objectives are met. Education & Certifications: * Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field (preferred). * City & Guilds 2365/2391 or equivalent electrical qualifications (advantageous). * SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme). * CSCS Card – Managerial/Black Card * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671). * First Aid at Work Experience * Proven experience in electrical project management within M&E contracting. * Strong background in industrial/commercial fit-outs, with expertise in power distribution, lighting, containment, fire alarms, security systems, and BMS. * Knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts, procurement processes, and health & safety compliance. * Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
