About the Role
To ensure the highest standard in food preparation is maintained and to train and help develop the kitchen team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a section of the kitchen and ensure that it runs according to performance standards established by the Head Chef.
- Organize and set up the assigned section efficiently to increase speed and maximize productivity.
- Ensure that all items from that section are prepared consistently and according to standard product specifications.
- Assist the Head Chef in ensuring that all culinary standards in that section comply with company and hotel policies, procedures and minimum standards.
- Work in any section of the kitchen when necessary or as requested by the Head Chef.
- Become familiar with all sections of the kitchen to facilitate flexible use of employees.
