As Retail Training Manager at ME+EM, you will lead the design and delivery of a best-in-class learning and development strategy across our UK and US retail stores. Reporting to the Retail & Customer Experience Director, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how our teams learn, grow and perform - ensuring every store delivers an exceptional ME+EM experience. This is a highly influential role focused on building capability, confidence and future leaders. You'll create inspiring training programmes that support career progression, strengthen commercial performance and embed our service standards at every level of the business. You'll thrive in this role if you're passionate about retail, people development and luxury customer experience. With a background in fast-paced, client-centric environments, you bring the confidence to coach, influence and challenge teams positively. You're creative, solutions-led and driven by excellence - and you'll champion ME+EM's values through everything you do.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a learning & development strategy aligned with retail operational goals.
- Create tailored learning solutions for store teams, covering product knowledge, service excellence and commercial awareness.
- Design and deliver leadership development programmes for store management and high-potential talent.
- Support internal career progression through training pathways and succession planning in partnership with Retail Area Managers and the Retail People Manager.
- Collaborate closely with Retail Operations and the People Team to ensure consistent learning experiences across all locations.
- Lead the creation of a Customer Playbook to define and embed the expected customer experience across teams.
- Evaluate the impact of training programmes using KPIs and employee feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Champion inclusivity, equity and accessibility in all learning initiatives.
- Manage third-party learning providers and digital learning platforms.
- Enhance and deliver the retail onboarding and induction experience.
- Organise and support workshops, meetings and panel discussions, including venue logistics, communications and materials.
- Create and maintain a comprehensive training manual and resources for 'train the trainer' sessions.
- Provide full administrative and logistical support for training programmes, including scheduling, attendance tracking, feedback collection and record keeping.
- Be present during training sessions to support activities and workshops on the ground.
