One of the UK's leading real estate development and strategic land businesses is seeking a recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or ACMA) to support investment decision making, budgeting and forecasting.

This role is ideal for candidates with up to three years’ post-qualification experience who are looking to move into a more commercial / analytical / business partnering role.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role supports financial planning, forecasting and investment analysis across a diverse portfolio of large-scale land, regeneration and development projects. You will work closely with non-finance stakeholders, providing insight to support commercial investment decision-making over long time horizons.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting annual budgets, rolling forecasts and long-range financial plans
  • Building and maintaining financial models and scenario analysis for development projects
  • Producing management reporting with clear analysis of performance, cash flow and returns
  • Partnering with development, planning and commercial teams to understand project economics
  • Supporting investment appraisals, business cases and internal approvals

Candidate Profile

  • ACA, ACCA or ACMA qualified with up to 3 years’ PQE
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable working with non-finance stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills with which to engage non-finance leaders across the business
  • Prior real estate or development experience is not essential
