A global organisation is seeking a Group Financial Controller to lead the financial control agenda across its UK & Ireland operations. This is a pivotal role within the senior finance team, ensuring robust compliance, reporting and governance across a regulated and dynamic environment.
This role provides strategic oversight and operational leadership across core areas of financial control and compliance.
- Responsible for group balance sheet integrity, statutory accounts, tax, pensions and audit
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and local regulatory standards
- Lead external stakeholder relationships including auditors, HMRC, banks and pension trustees
- Manage and develop the Financial Accounting team
- Collaborate with global shared services to ensure accurate and timely delivery
- Drive improvements in internal controls, systems and reporting processes
- Partner with the senior leadership team to align finance with group strategy
The Candidate:
- ACA/ACCA qualified, ideally with a practice-trained background
- Significant experience in financial control within complex, multi-entity organisations
- Deep knowledge of IFRS, UK GAAP and statutory compliance
- Proven track record of leading audits and managing external stakeholders
- Experienced in SAP and core Microsoft tools
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative, proactive approach
