Our client is the Corporate Finance department of a leading national accountancy firm. Owing to a strong and increasing pipeline of corporate transactions and rising confidence in the sector, our client is looking to strengthen their team in the North West with the recruitment of a recently qualified accountant.

A Corporate Finance Executive plays a key role in teams advising on corporate transactions; interfacing with clients and other professionals in the preparation of Business Plans, Information Memoranda and deal negotiation. A career in corporate finance tends to be fast moving, varied and commercially focused. The role entails working as part of a team on corporate transactions including mergers, acquisitions, disposals, management buy-outs, private equity backed transactions.

You will be involved at many stages of the transaction process including deal origination and research, business modelling, preparation of financial forecasts and business plans, critical analysis of target company forecasts and business plans, preparation of business sale documents (information memorandum), and transaction negotiations. In addition you will contribute to client meetings and build relationships with clients and potential clients.

An important aspect of the role is to build your own network amongst the professional services, banking and private equity communities in the region by attending networking events as well as through informal relationship building.

Key Responsibilities:
  • First class interpersonal and relationship building combined with strong numerical and report writing skills.
  • A natural interest in business and transactional activities in the corporate world.
  • Excited by working closely with experienced deal makers, some of the region’s leading entrepreneurs, financiers, banks and businesses.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Most likely currently employed in the audit/assurance/business advisory department of a national Big 4 or mid tier accountancy firm.
