Senior Leadership & Business Development Opportunity
Specialist Supported Living | Autism & Complex Needs Location: South London / South East – Flexible and Remote Working Considered Salary: Competitive package, dependent on experience, with potential performance-related incentives Position: Senior Management to Director Level The Opportunity
We are working with an established, highly regarded and profitable specialist care provider delivering personalised supported living services for adults with autism and complex needs. The business has built an excellent reputation through its commitment to high-quality, person-centred care, strong relationships with local authorities and the delivery of tailored support for individuals with complex requirements. With an established operational platform and ambitious plans for the future, the business is now exploring the appointment of an experienced and commercially minded individual who can play a pivotal role in its next phase of development. This is an unusual opportunity to join a successful, independently owned organisation at an important stage in its evolution, working closely with the founder to help shape its strategy, strengthen its market position and deliver sustainable growth. A key part of what makes this opportunity special is the culture and size of the organisation, which has retained a personal, close-knit and supportive environment without the bureaucracy often associated with larger corporate organisations. Importantly, the precise role and level of responsibility will be shaped around the experience, capabilities and ambitions of the successful individual. We are equally open-minded regarding the nature of the engagement, whether that be a permanent appointment, part-time or a more flexible consultancy arrangement. Remote working, including fully remote arrangements, can also be considered for the right individual, subject to the requirements of the role. Our priority is to identify someone with the right sector relationships, proven commercial track record and cultural fit, rather than prescribe a particular working arrangement. The Role
We are particularly interested in meeting individuals who combine a strong understanding of specialist adult social care with a proven track record of winning new business and established relationships within the sector. Depending on experience, responsibilities could include: Developing and implementing a commercial growth strategy, identifying opportunities to expand the organisation's supported living services.
Building on existing relationships with local authority commissioners, brokerage teams and other relevant referral partners.
Leveraging proven, established relationships with commissioners and decision-makers to identify, develop and secure new placements and service opportunities.
Identifying new geographic markets, commissioning opportunities and strategic partnerships.
Working closely with the founder and senior leadership team to shape the organisation's medium- and longer-term strategy.
Supporting the development of the operational infrastructure, leadership capability and processes required for sustainable growth.
Evaluating opportunities for new service development, partnerships and potentially acquisitions.
Helping build a commercially successful organisation without compromising its commitment to exceptional care and positive outcomes.
For a more senior individual, the opportunity could develop into a broader leadership position with responsibility for the overall direction, performance and growth of the business. About You
Direct experience within the specialist adult social care sector is essential. We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate: A demonstrable track record of successfully winning new business within specialist supported living, autism, learning disabilities and/or complex needs services.
Proven, established relationships with local authority commissioners
