An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and commercially minded Marina Manager to lead the operations of Cobb's Quay Marina in Poole. Founded in 1973, MDL has spent more than 50 years helping people get more from life on the water. Through prime locations, expert service, rewarding loyalty programmes and welcoming marina communities, we create experiences that go far beyond simply providing a berth.
This role requires a strong and operationally experienced Manager who can take full ownership of marina performance, lead and develop the strategic vision, manage a high-performing team, and deliver an exceptional experience for berth holders, visitors and tenants.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the day-to-day operations of the marina, ensuring the highest standards of safety, presentation and service.
- Recruit, manage and develop the marina team, providing clear leadership and ongoing development.
- Take ownership of the marina's financial performance, managing budgets, costs and revenue streams.
- Identify and develop new commercial opportunities to maximise site profitability.
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience, building strong relationships with berth holders and site tenants.
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety, environmental and company policies.
- Work closely with central support teams and senior leadership to deliver business objectives.
- Manage marina administration to ensure accurate billing, contracts and revenue capture.
We are looking for a proven leader with strong operational and commercial experience, ideally gained within a marina, leisure, hospitality or similar operational environment.
