MDH Recruitment are currently seeking a Class 1 Driver who is looking to gain experience with walking floor trailers. This is a great opportunity for a reliable and motivated driver to expand their skill set and work with a supportive and experienced team. NEW CLASS 1 DRIVERS WELCOME as full training will be given.
You will be required to start at 06:00 am each day.
Pay:
- PAYE £16.50ph days
- PAYE £18.00ph Weekends
Location: Stirling
Shift pattern: Wed-Sun. Weekend Drivers also welcome for 2 days every week.
Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Class 1 Walking Floor Driver to join our transportation team. This position involves operating a walking floor trailer to transport from A to B. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a clean driving record, and experience with walking floor trailers or similar equipment; however, we are able to get you trained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a Class 1 vehicle with a walking floor trailer for local or regional hauls
- Safely load and unload materials using the walking floor system
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Follow all DOT and company safety regulations and procedures
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to ensure timely deliveries
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report issues promptly
- Ensure load security and proper weight distribution
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 UK Driving License
- CPC Card
- Digital Tachograph Card
- Maximum of 6 points on license, with no DD, DR or CD endorsements for insurance purposes
