MDH Services are representing one of our newest clients, assisting them in recruiting a second man to assist the driver.
Location: Central Belt (Falkirk Depot, with multi-drop locations including across Perth, Edinburgh, Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Paisley, and Dundee)
Contract: 4-6 Weeks
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 7:15/7:30 am to 5:00 pm
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer/Second Man to assist our Class 2 Box Van Driver on a temporary 4–6-week contract. This is a double man crew role where you will be working alongside the driver to load and unload industrial wheelie bins from the tail lift. The role involves working in a physically demanding environment, ensuring bins are loaded and unloaded safely and efficiently during deliveries to various locations across the central belt.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist with loading and unloading bins: Work with the Class 2 driver to load and unload industrial wheelie bins on and off the tail lift.
- Support with deliveries: Accompany the driver to various locations, ensuring bins are safely and efficiently delivered to Perth, Edinburgh, Lanarkshire, Glasgow, Paisley, and Dundee.
- Physical tasks: Handle and move bins throughout the day, including pushing and pulling heavy items.
- Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations and protocols while loading, unloading, and handling equipment.
- Teamwork: Work closely with the driver to ensure smooth and efficient deliveries.
- Induction: Complete a half-day induction to familiarize yourself with the role, health and safety guidelines, and the equipment used.
- Physical fitness: Must be able to lift, move, and load heavy bins and assist with tail lift operations.
- Reliable and punctual: Able to adhere to strict schedules and demonstrate excellent timekeeping.
- Team-oriented: Work well as part of a team, providing support to the Class 2 Driver.
- Strong communication skills: Able to clearly communicate and coordinate with the driver and other team members.
- Health & Safety awareness: Adhere to all health and safety protocols in a physically demanding environment.
