This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining commercial thinking with data analysis to support pricing, asset valuation and customer quoting activities. Working alongside experienced commercial professionals, you'll play a key role in developing pricing models, producing asset valuations, supporting new customer quotations and helping manage commercial processes from initial onboarding through to revenue generation.
We're particularly interested in individuals with experience in the energy or utilities sector. However, we'd also like to hear from ambitious analytical graduates, postgraduates or professionals with 1–3 years' commercial or analytical experience who are looking to develop their career within a fast-paced and growing business.
This role would suit someone who is proactive, highly organised and naturally analytical, with strong Excel skills and a genuine interest in commercial decision-making. Responsibilities- Analyse commercial and operational data to assess investment performance, produce regular business intelligence reports and support commercial decision-making across the wider business.
- Develop and maintain financial models, including asset valuations and pricing analysis, while creating bespoke Excel tools and supporting the transition towards more automated digital solutions.
- Support the end-to-end commercial process by preparing customer quotations, processing asset value claims, validating commercial data and coordinating with finance teams to ensure purchase orders, invoicing and payments are completed accurately.
- Manage commercial data across internal systems and industry platforms, maintaining project trackers, updating asset information and ensuring the accuracy of customer and project records.
- Work closely with colleagues across commercial, finance, operations and regulatory teams while acting as a key point of contact for customers, gathering information, resolving queries and delivering excellent customer service throughout the onboarding and delivery process.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing processes, increase efficiency and contribute ideas that enhance commercial operations, reporting and overall business performance.
- Experience within the energy or utilities sector, ideally in a pricing, commercial or analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and the ability to interpret complex datasets and financial information.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work to tight deadlines.
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, customers and external stakeholders.
- Experience with Python, SQL or business intelligence tools would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Degree qualified in an analytical discipline such as Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering or Data Science, or equivalent relevant experience.
