We are supporting a leading renewable energy contractor delivering major solar projects across England and Scotland. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, we are recruiting experienced Site Managers to join the team on a permanent basis.

Role Overview: You will oversee the full project lifecycle of large-scale ground mount solar installations, typically exceeding 30MW capacity. This includes managing site operations from mobilisation through to commissioning and final handover.

Key Requirements:

  • Valid SMSTS certification.
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale ground mount solar projects over 30MW.
  • Strong track record of managing projects safely, on time, and to budget.
  • Confident coordinating all phases of delivery, including civil, mechanical, and electrical packages.
  • Professional reputation for maintaining high standards and working effectively with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all site activities and ensure safe, compliant delivery to specification.
  • Supervise subcontractors and direct teams on site.
  • Manage resources, materials, and logistics across the project lifecycle.
  • Oversee quality control, reporting, and handover documentation.
  • Represent the business as Principal Contractor on site.

Locations: Projects are based across the South East, East Midlands, Yorkshire, and Scotland, with flexibility on site allocation depending on your location and availability.

Salary: Β£60,000 – Β£70,000 DOE plus Β£500 per month allowance. Travel and accommodation provided where required. Permanent, full-time employment with long-term project security.

Additional Notes: We are open to considering contractors currently engaged on similar projects who are looking to step into a permanent role with a stable package and clear progression.
