We are seeking an Electrical Design/Grid Interface Engineer to act as a key technical interface between client, contractors, and external stakeholders across grid-connected infrastructure projects in the UK. This role will serve as a technical gatekeeper, ensuring consistency, compliance, and quality across all electrical interfaces, protecting the integrity of the project’s technical baseline.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary technical interface between client, EPC contractors, consultants, and external vendors
- Review and manage key electrical interface documentation, including:
- Single Line Diagrams
- Electrical layouts
- Cable schedules
- SCADA / EMS block diagrams
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering
- 3–8 years’ experience in:
- Electrical design, Grid-connected infrastructure (e.g. renewables, substations, BESS, power systems)
- G99, ENA guidelines, DNO/TSO processes, BS and IEC standards
Desirable
- Experience across renewable energy projects (Solar, Wind, BESS)
- Familiarity with grid connection processes and compliance submissions
- Experience in technical due diligence or owner’s engineer roles
