Role Overview
We are seeking a Network & Systems Support Engineer β Graduate to join our clients operations and engineering teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or Energy Engineering who wants to gain hands-on experience in network operations, documentation management, and compliance. The role offers a blend of technical understanding, process coordination, and stakeholder management β ideal for someone who enjoys both technical problem-solving and ensuring smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the creation, management, and tracking of network documentation including single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and asset registers.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on network performance, outages, and reliability indices.
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, ICPs, and engineers to ensure efficient work orders, site access, and documentation flow.
- Conduct basic technical reviews of designs and documentation, flagging issues to the engineering team.
- Manage work ordering, purchase requests, and contract administration.
- Maintain and update GIS systems, network modelling tools, and data spreadsheets.
- Help prepare dashboards, KPIs, and reports for senior management.
- Support compliance tracking and ensure documentation aligns with technical standards and regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects, streamlining processes and workflows within network operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong technical understanding or interest in medium- and high-voltage networks (experience with 33kV is a plus).
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong documentation, coordination, and communication skills with a proactive, team-oriented attitude.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with GIS, CAD, or network modelling tools is advantageous.
- Willingness to learn technical standards, codes, and procedures relevant to electricity distribution.
