Field Project Manager – Renewable Energy

Location: Hybrid (2 days office / 3 days site or home-based)

Salary: £45,000 – £60,000 DOE + performance bonus

Reports to: Head of Operations

About the Role

We’re seeking a proactive Field Project Manager to lead renewable energy projects from planning through to delivery and maintenance. Covering residential, commercial, and large-scale installations, you’ll ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.

Working closely with the Head of Operations, Project Managers, and installation teams, you’ll coordinate site activities, subcontractors, and client communications. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving problems, leading teams, and seeing projects come to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  • Oversee daily site operations and supervise installation teams.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and industry regulations.
  • Manage subcontractors and optimize workforce productivity.
  • Communicate project progress to clients and senior management.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and resolve on-site issues proactively.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong technical knowledge of Solar PV, battery storage, and EV systems.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing renewable energy projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Experience with risk management, compliance, and contractor coordination.
  • A hands-on, solutions-focused approach and passion for renewable energy.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • UK driving licence
  • Electrical qualification – 18th Edition Level 3 or equivalent
  • Experience in H&S compliance and contract management

Desirable:

  • BPEC Solar Installer / Battery Storage / EV qualifications
  • CSCS, SSSTS, SMSTS, or First Aid certification
