Hours: Monday - Thursday 08:00–18:00 | Early Finish Friday
We have an immediate need for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to support the delivery of a major Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for commissioning professionals from a range of electrical infrastructure backgrounds, including power generation, utilities, substations, rail, renewables, industrial automation, data centres or transmission and distribution projects. While previous BESS experience would be advantageous, we are particularly interested in candidates with strong commissioning, testing, energisation and fault-finding experience gained on complex electrical systems.
Key Responsibilities- Support the commissioning and energisation of battery energy storage equipment and associated systems.
- Carry out functional testing, inspection and verification activities.
- Review commissioning procedures, test documentation and technical reports.
- Assist with fault diagnosis and resolution during testing and commissioning phases.
- Coordinate with site teams, OEM representatives and project stakeholders.
- Ensure commissioning activities are delivered safely and in accordance with project standards and procedures.
- Contribute to the successful handover of systems into operation.
