MDE Group are recruiting for a Senior Project Manager on behalf of a rapidly growing engineering and infrastructure business delivering large-scale LED, electrical, HVAC, and building services projects across the UK. This is a senior leadership opportunity for an experienced project professional to play a key role in developing and improving an established project delivery function. The successful candidate will oversee multiple Project Managers and projects simultaneously, driving consistency, governance, commercial performance, and operational excellence across the business.

The role would suit someone with a strong electrical or building services background who has progressed into senior project leadership and is comfortable operating within complex, multi-project environments.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading the performance and development of the LED project delivery function, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, commercially, and in line with company standards and procedures.

  • Leading and developing a team of Project Managers across multiple concurrent projects
  • Driving consistency across project delivery, planning, governance, and reporting
  • Embedding strong processes, procedures, and operational controls
  • Supporting commercial performance, project forecasting, and resource planning
  • Improving delivery standards, project visibility, and reporting accuracy
  • Providing leadership, mentorship, and technical support to delivery teams
  • Working closely with operational and commercial stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the delivery function
  • Ensuring projects are delivered in line with safety, compliance, and quality expectations

About You

We are looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record delivering complex electrical, LED, HVAC, M&E, or building services projects.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong experience managing multiple projects and delivery teams simultaneously
  • An electrical, M&E, HVAC, or building services background
  • Previous experience in a senior delivery or operational leadership role
  • Excellent commercial awareness and reporting capability
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
  • Experience implementing or improving project governance and operational standards
  • A proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Formal Project Management qualifications (PRINCE2, APM, PMP or equivalent preferred)
  • Flexibility to travel nationwide with occasional staying away as required
