Design & MEICA Manager
Location: South West England • Permanent
A leading contractor in the utilities and infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced Design and MEICA Manager to oversee the design and delivery of MEICA services within a major non-core project portfolio. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for ensuring safe, compliant and efficient project execution, reporting directly to the Director of Projects.
The Role
- Lead the management and coordination of design and MEICA services across multiple projects.
- Oversee project delivery from inception to completion, ensuring safety, quality, programme and budget compliance.
- Deputise for the Director of Projects, making key decisions and providing day-to-day leadership.
- Drive corporate governance and best practice in project delivery.
- Manage budgets, resources and operational processes to maximise efficiency and profitability.
- Lead client stakeholder management, building strong commercial relationships.
- Ensure CDM compliance, risk management and adherence to company systems and procedures.
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning and implementation of new technologies.
- Provide leadership, coaching and motivation to multi-disciplinary project teams.
The Person
- Proven leadership experience in a similar role.
- Degree-level qualification (or equivalent) in engineering or construction management.
- Strong track record in the management and delivery of design & build projects of varying value.
- In-depth knowledge of CDM compliance and NEC contracts.
- Excellent people management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organisational, decision-making and negotiation capabilities.
- Ability to lead multi-discipline teams and influence across all levels of the business.
- Salary up to £85,000 plus performance-related bonus (5%).
- Up to 20% combined pension contribution.
