Lab Technician

The Company
Our client is a specialist manufacturing business producing small precision components and assemblies within a controlled production environment.
The Role
The position will involve carrying out a range of laboratory and production processes involving small precision components.
The role includes working with chemicals and following strict Health & Safety and COSHH procedures. Previous chemical handling experience is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Cleaning small precision components and assemblies.
- Testing components and assemblies.
- Carrying out etching processes.
- Handling chemicals safely.
- Handling bulk materials up to approximately 25 kg where required.
- Following Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
- Following production procedures and work instructions.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
- Supporting general laboratory and production activities.
Skills & Experience
- Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred.
- Chemical handling experience beneficial.
- Cleaning, testing or etching experience beneficial.
- Comfortable working with chemicals.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good manual dexterity.
- Able to follow procedures accurately.
- Comfortable working within a small team.
Package
- 35 hours per week.
- Monday to Friday day shifts.
- 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays.
- 3.5% employer pension contribution.
- Occasional overtime may be available.
