We are seeking an experienced Installation Manager to oversee the delivery of LED lighting installation projects across commercial, industrial and public-sector environments. This is a hands-on management role responsible for leading site-based installation teams, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You will play a key role in coordinating resources, monitoring progress and maintaining compliance throughout the project lifecycle. The successful candidate will be comfortable managing multiple workstreams, driving productivity on site and providing clear communication between operational teams and senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage site-based installation teams delivering LED lighting projects across multiple locations.
  • Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with company standards and client requirements.
  • Drive programme delivery, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within scope.
  • Oversee electricians, labourers and apprentices, maintaining high standards of productivity, conduct and workmanship.
  • Ensure installation works are properly planned, prepared and communicated to site teams.
  • Monitor quality throughout project delivery and implement corrective actions where required.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards.
  • Provide regular reporting on project progress, risks, resource requirements and non-conformances.
  • Support project close-out activities, including snagging, documentation and handover.
  • Liaise with project managers, clients and operational stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing electrical installation teams on commercial or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and site operations.
  • Experience delivering LED lighting upgrade projects, energy efficiency programmes or large-scale electrical installations is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrable experience managing subcontractors and direct labour.
  • Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to identify risks and implement practical solutions to maintain programme delivery.
  • Good understanding of health, safety and compliance requirements within construction and electrical environments.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and stay away from home when required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • ECS Card.
  • SSSTS or SMSTS.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Inspection & Testing qualifications (desirable).
