Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Mobile Plant Mechanic to join their team and help maintain their extensive fleet of plant and heavy equipment at one of the UK's busiest ports.
Working in a fast-paced 24/7 operation, you'll play a vital role in ensuring their vehicles and plant remain safe, reliable and ready to keep the port moving.
As a Mobile Plant Mechanic, you'll be responsible for:
- Inspecting, servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of plant and commercial vehicles
- Helping to minimise downtime and maximise operational efficiency
Requirements:
- A recognised Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship (Level 3 minimum)
- Strong mechanical knowledge and practical fault-finding skills
- Experience working on commercial vehicles, forklift trucks or heavy plant
- Ideally, a multi-skilled background including hydraulics, electrics and diesel engines
- A proactive, flexible approach with a commitment to high standards of safety and workmanship
- A full UK driving licence and your own transport
This is a shift-based role supporting a busy port operation that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We recognise that our people are our greatest asset and offer an excellent benefits package, including:
