Logistics Supervisor– Automotive Sector Location: Weston-Super-Mare (BS24) Salary: £33,000 – £35,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 37 hours average, 9-day fortnight We are working on behalf of a leading Tier 1 automotive manufacturer with a long-established reputation for quality. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Logistics Supervisor (Assistant Core Controller) to join their Logistics department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced logistics professional with strong leadership skills to play a key role in supporting operations, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring customer and business expectations are consistently met. Key Responsibilities Liaise with customers to ensure sufficient parts availability in line with production requirements. Manage customer portals and maintain strong customer relationships. Oversee packaging recycling and re-use processes. Organise core shuttles and packaging to production sites. Lead, motivate, and develop a small team in line with company objectives. Manage yard activities including scrap collection, material movements, and cleanliness standards. Act as lead for scrap sales. Organise direct-to-line packaging deliveries. Produce monthly summary reports. Skills & Experience Required Proven logistical experience. ERP inventory software knowledge and stock control/inventory management experience. FLT/Counterbalance licence (essential). Full UK driving licence (essential). Demonstrable leadership experience. Competent IT skills, including Office 365 and ERP systems. Personal Attributes Strong communicator with excellent people skills. Highly motivated with a professional approach. Organised, structured, and able to work independently when required. Target-driven with proven results. Strong health & safety awareness. Physically fit, as the role can be demanding at times.
