We are seeking a QA QC Engineer to support quality assurance and control across utility scale solar PV projects based in York. This role will be working under a QA QC Manager, supporting the delivery of large scale EPC projects. You will play a key role in ensuring all works are completed in line with project specifications, standards, and compliance requirements. The position is fully site based, 5 days per week with Saturday work available depending on programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support implementation and maintenance of the project Quality Management System
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with QA QC standards and specifications
- Review and manage project documentation and inspection records
- Conduct site inspections and support testing activities
- Identify non conformities and assist with corrective and preventive actions
- Work closely with site teams, subcontractors and management to maintain quality standards
- Support reporting on quality performance to the QA QC Manager
- Ensure all works are delivered in line with health and safety and project procedures
Essential Requirements
- Experience in a QA QC role within solar, renewable or construction projects
- Background working on utility scale or ground mounted solar projects preferred
- Strong understanding of site quality processes and documentation
- Ability to work within an EPC environment
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Willingness to be site based full time in York
Desirable Qualifications
- Electrical or engineering background
- Previous experience working under a QA QC Manager
- Knowledge of testing and commissioning processes
Working Pattern and Benefits
- £300 to £400 per day depending on experience
