Location: Based at Stratford Park, Stroud GL5 4AF (working across various sites in the district)

Pay Rate: £13.05 - £19.57 per hour (based on experience and grading)

Hours: 37 hours per week

  • Monday-Thursday: 07:00 - 15:00
  • Friday: 07:00 - 14:30 (Start and end your day at Stratford Park)

Contract: Seasonal, with the potential for a permanent position for the right candidate

About the Role: We are looking for Grounds Maintenance Operatives to join busy teams working across green spaces, parks, and outdoor public areas throughout the district. You will be based out of Stratford Park, returning there daily, and work in teams of 3-4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mowing, trimming, and general grounds upkeep
  • Planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, and flower beds
  • Bin emptying, leaf clearance, and general site cleanliness
  • Winter duties including snow and ice clearing
  • Operating a range of hand tools and machinery
  • Optional driving duties (Transit-style vans), if you hold a valid licence

  • A strong work ethic and team-first attitude
  • Basic horticultural or grounds knowledge
  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather
  • Ability to follow instructions and work safely
