Our client, a dynamic and growing manufacturer, is expanding their print operations and as part of this growth they are recruiting for an individual they can develop into a fully-fledged flexographic printer. The primary function of this role is the efficient day to day running of the flexographic printing press, ensuring that it is fully utilised producing printed paper to the highest standard to support production.
The role and associated training will involve:
- Set up and operate flexo presses
- Load reels, mount plates, mix inks, and monitor print quality
- Maintain high hygiene standards and complete production records
- Conduct end-of-run clean downs to avoid cross-contamination
- Maintain ink/solvent ratios and troubleshoot printing issues
Skills & Abilities
- Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Previous printing experience would be advantageous but not essential
- Self-motivating
- Able to work to a very high standard
- Strong focus on working towards reducing waste levels
