CNC Machinist
North Somerset
A globally respected engineering manufacturer in North Somerset is looking to recruit two Skilled CNC Machinists to join its high-performance production team. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced operators to work in a precision-focused environment supplying to aerospace-level standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate a variety of machinery including CNC, milling, and turning equipment
- Interpret technical drawings and work to precise specifications and tolerances
- Ensure compliance with rigorous quality and safety standards
- Contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
- Support the Team Leader with production targets and process improvements
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong experience in machine setting and operating (CNC, Milling, Turning)
- Solid understanding of tolerances, torque values, and detailed measurements
- Ability to read and interpret engineering/technical drawings
- Proven track record in a production/manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with standardised work procedures and quality compliance
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing (e.g., 5S, material flow)
- Excellent attention to detail, methodical and safety-first approach
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ideally, completion of a Manufacturing Basic Apprenticeship
