Role Overview: Seeking an experienced Civils Supervisor or 2-Man Team (Supervisor + Operative) for national projects across the UK. Work involves groundworks: earthworks, excavations, trenches, concreting, slab work. Mon-Fri work away from home; accommodation provided; occasional weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all civils work meets safety regulations and industry standards
- Lead and supervise teams and subcontractors
- Manage site safety: toolbox talks, PPE compliance
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers
- Provide daily progress updates
- Mentor junior staff
- Manage materials and project inventory
Essential Requirements:
- 5+ years in civils/groundworks (utility-scale energy preferred)
- Strong civils and safety standards knowledge
- Able to read site drawings and deliver to spec
- Excavator, dumper, roller tickets (Supervisor & Operative)
- SMSTS or SSSTS (Supervisor) — or willing to obtain
- CSCS card
- Full UK driving licence
- First aid, confined space — or willing to obtain
- Proficient with site reporting tools (iAuditor, Microsoft tools)
- Able to travel across the UK; own transport (mileage reimbursed)
