The role
We're looking for a Medico-Legal Adviser to join our dedicated and passionate Medical Division on a fixed term basis. We are open to applications on a full- or part-time basis for both our London and Glasgow offices.
About the role:
As a Medico-Legal Adviser, you will play a crucial role in providing expert advice and assistance to MDDUS members, championing membership and development initiatives, and aligning with our corporate and financial objectives. Your commitment will be instrumental in upholding our values and putting our members at the forefront of everything that we do.
Who we are looking for
We seek candidates passionate about supporting healthcare professionals and who can add real value to the care of our members while supporting medico‐legal matters. Your insights and experience of general practice or secondary care across the UK, combined with experience or an interest in medical law and ethics, will be highly valued.
Minimum Requirements for the Role:
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
- GMC Registration.
- Post‐graduate medical qualifications such as Royal College membership or equivalent.
In addition to the minimum criteria, we welcome candidates who possess the following qualities:
- Attention to detail: Highly organized, with experience in writing and drafting reports and analytical documents.
- Good stakeholder management: Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at different levels across our business and membership.
- Strong communicator: Effective both in writing and verbally, able to interact with members with compassion and patience.
- Independent and collaborative: Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team while managing a varied workload.
- Ambitious and motivated: With a strong desire to deliver the highest quality of service to our members.
