Location: Glasgow

Flexibility: Opportunity to work from home after training period

Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)

Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum

Your expertise will help deliver innovative content that supports strategic communication campaigns, ensuring they resonate with and reflect the membership we serve. This role is embedded in a friendly communications and public affairs team. Your contributions will enhance MDDUS’ public image and showcase our commitment to making a positive difference for the doctors and dentists we are proud to call our members.

This is a varied and interesting role and if you’re passionate about public relations, digital storytelling, and want to work in a fast-paced and energetic team, we want to hear from you.

You will have experience in communications and PR and a solid understanding of media relations, campaign planning, and audience engagement. Confidence with video and website Content Management Systems, or a willingness to learn, is also key.

What you can bring to this role:

Essential criteria:

  • Media Relations and Campaign Planning: Understanding of media relations, campaign planning, and audience engagement.
  • Experience/Relevant Qualification: Some initial experience in a communications or PR role, and/or a recent qualification in a relevant media and communications subject (e.g., degree or HND level).
  • Technical Skills in Video and Sound Equipment: Experience in using video and sound equipment or a demonstrated willingness to learn these skills.
  • Social media and Digital Tools Expertise: Proficiency in using social media platforms, digital publishing tools, and knowledge of generative artificial intelligence technologies.

Desirable criteria:

  • Relevant Qualification: A qualification in communications, PR, journalism, or a similar field.
