Location: Glasgow/London as determined

Salary: Attractive and based on experience

Working hours: Full time (35 hours) or minimum of 4 days (28 hours) per week

Working pattern: To be agreed

Flexibility: This role will be more office based for training period after which more flexibility is available

The Opportunity

MDDUS is looking for Dento-legal Advisory professionals to join our Dental team in what is a very exciting period of transformational growth for the business. Based in our London or Glasgow office, you will provide advice as one of the initial points of contact with members within a scheme of delegated responsibility and refer requests for advice to other colleagues where appropriate. This role would be perfect for candidates with significant experience in dentistry and who have a passion for, and are experienced in, dento-legal advisory work.

What you can bring to this role:

  • A degree in dentistry (BDS or equivalent) and strong experience in general dental practice is essential to this role. The successful candidate will be a qualified dentist.
  • We are particularly on the lookout for candidates who can evidence:
    • Experienced dentist
    • A strong understanding of the interface between patients and healthcare professionals
    • Good knowledge of NHS General Dental practice and/or private practice or secondary dental care and frameworks across the UK
  • We are especially keen to hear from any dentists who have completed or are working towards a post graduate qualification in medical law and ethics or equivalent legal qualification. This is an essential requirement for the Dento-legal Adviser role.
  • We specifically want to hear from any candidates who meet the following key criteria:
    • Attention to detail: Highly organised, with experience of writing and drafting letters and reports.
    • Good Stakeholder Management: Comfortable engaging with stakeholders at different levels across our business and membership.
    • Strong communicator: Both written and verbally and able to interact with members with compassion and patience.
    • Experienced in dento-legal lecturing and delivering webinars.
    • Independent and collaborative: Comfortable working both on your own and as part of a team while managing a varied workload.
    • Ambitious and Motivated: with a strong desire to deliver the highest quality of service to our members.
