MDCV UK has a vision to bring the finest English and Provençal wines to the UK market. We have a long history of producing award-winning Provence Rosé and English Sparkling Wines, with an extensive infrastructure, both in France and the UK. We will be the largest producer of wine in each of these regions by 2024, with a combined production of over 10 million bottles annually.
Our French estates span over 1000 acres and are already established in many global markets, with sales of over 4 million bottles. In the UK, we are establishing the largest single vineyard site, based in Kent, and plan to be in full production from 2024.
Key responsibilities:
- A Tractor Driver level 1 is responsible for general farm maintenance and semi-skilled labouring.
- This role works in vineyard machinery operations which includes cultivating, mowing and pruning the vines.
- This role gets involved in most vineyard tasks which will include, but is not limited to, weeding, hoeing, grinding roots, leaf stripping, grape picking, bud rubbing, tying down, strimming, trellising, training and leading staff, fertilizing and mechanical weeding.
Requirements:
- Have experience in tractor driving.
- Have a full driving licence.
- Be willing to do some shift work / irregular hours at times.
- Have own transport.
- Work well in a team.
- Have experience of working on a farm.
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience and/or interest in vineyard work.
- PA1 and PA3 certificate.
- Be relatively local to the Luddesdown/Meopham/Gravesend/Rochester area.
