MDC PCN aims to work strategically with all its practices, to help secure the best services for patients whilst working together, to support the member practices in the challenges of a changing NHS. The network aims to improve the morale of general practice in Bromley, by sharing expertise, services and supporting its workforce. The network will make a positive impact on medical services in Bromley, by working closely with the ICB, local NHS trusts, local providers and patient groups, to improve the delivery of healthcare to the local population.

Main duties of the job:

  • Contract: Fixed term for 6 months, view to go permanent
  • Working Arrangement: Practice-based (on-site office based is essential for this role)
  • Looking for a highly organised and proactive Admin Support to join our team, bringing strong administrative experience from a healthcare or primary care setting.
  • This is a newly created role designed to provide support to the PCN Supervisor.
  • The successful candidate ideally would be confident in using a range of clinical and operational systems, including EMIS for managing appointment clinics and booking adjustments, Accurx for patient communications such as reminder texts, and TeamNet for compliance checks and maintaining operational records.
  • This appointment is offered on a fixed-term contract basis starting at 6 months, with the view of extension to a permanent role subject to performance and service requirements.
  • This role is for 12 hours per week across 3 days. Days and hours to be discussed with the PCN Supervisor.

About us:

MDC PCN is a forward thinking group of 2 Bromley Practices which has been formed to benefit patients by offering improved access and extending the range of services available to them, and by helping to integrate primary care with wider health and community services. This PCN consists of The Chislehurst Partnership and The Links Medical Practice (Mottingham and Downham) covering over 37,000 patients.

Person Specification:

  • Experience of working autonomously or as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality, data protection, and professional standards
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks
  • Ability to act as a first point of contact for queries, handling them confidently and professionally
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, for document creation, data management, and reporting
  • Experience of working in a NHS, primary care setting or primary care network
  • Experience in using clinical IT systems such as EMIS, DOCMAN, or similar healthcare systems.
  • Experience supporting premises and compliance-related tasks
  • Ability to assist with key operational processes, including onboarding new starters and rota oversight
