4 Design Studio (4DS) is looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead delivery on a live project within Westfield Stratford — one of London's busiest shopping centres, where standards, safety, and site presentation are non-negotiable.

The role:

  • Full day-to-day management of the site, trades, and programme
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for the client and centre management on H&S compliance
  • Enforcing strict site discipline suited to an occupied retail environment (public-facing, high footfall)
  • Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring quality control against 4DS standards

Essential qualifications:

  • SMSTS (CITB)
  • SSSTS (CIOB) or Diploma in Site Supervisory Studies (QCF Level 3)
  • CSCS Card (White or equivalent)
  • First Aid at Work (3-day course)
  • Fire Warden certification
  • Asbestos Awareness (Category A)

Desirable:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (RQF Level 6)
  • Carpentry Level 1 & 2 Technical Diplomas (QCF)
  • Prior experience managing sites within live retail/shopping centre environments

What we're looking for: Someone who treats H&S as a discipline, not a checkbox — confident managing trades in a public-facing environment where mistakes are visible and costly. You'll need to be comfortable working to the exacting standards a landlord like Westfield demands, on top of your own site management ability.
