Quality Assurance Manager
We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-driven Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer Manager to support the development and manufacturing of mixed-signal integrated circuits for aerospace applications. This role ensures that traceability, compliance, and quality processes are embedded across the full lifecycle — from architecture through manufacturing — and adhered to by all engineering disciplines and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Process & Quality Ownership
- Define, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures aligned with aerospace and IC industry standards
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA engineers to execute quality objectives and maintain compliance
- Ensure complete traceability of requirements across design, verification, validation, and manufacturing stages
- Lead internal and external quality audits, ensuring readiness for customer and certification reviews
- Collect lessons learned data and generate improvement initiatives
- Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration
- Work closely with Architecture, Analog, Digital Design, Verification, DFT, SW, Validation, Packaging, and Manufacturing teams to enforce quality standards and validate design and process changes, ensuring that they meet quality and reliability requirements
- Provide guidance to ensure compliance with process gates and documentation practices
- Partner with subcontractors and manufacturing partners to validate quality and traceability in external deliverables
- Procedure & Documentation Management
- Define and maintain procedures for requirements management, design reviews, test coverage, and manufacturing release to verify product functionality, performance, and reliability
- Conduct audits and reviews to ensure rigorous documentation and data integrity
- Support certification and customer audits by ensuring availability of accurate quality records
- Risk & Compliance Oversight
- Identify and mitigate risks related to quality, compliance, and process deviations
- Investigate and analyze product failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence when quality and performance issues are discovered
- Ensure qualification and validation activities meet aerospace reliability and safety requirements
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance for integrated circuits, preferably in mixed-signal or aerospace applications
- Strong understanding of VLSI flows (architecture, design, verification, DFT, software, validation, packaging, and manufacturing)
- Familiarity with aerospace quality and traceability standards
- Experience with configuration management, requirements tracking, and quality tools
- Excellent communication, organizational, and audit skills
