Are you ready to launch the next stage of your career in the new space economy? We would love to hear from you! We’re on the hunt for an FPGA Engineer to join our UK team, working on advanced space sensors for exploration missions and space‑based communication technology.
Responsibilities- Working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team of engineers developing satellite telecommunication payloads for a variety of orbits and missions.
- Flow down of sub‑system requirements to the FPGAs.
- FPGA verification for high reliability / space systems.
- Architecture, design and implementation of complex designs with Microchip FPGAs for space applications.
- Development of IP blocks for AMD SoCs.
- 10+ years’ experience in an FPGA engineering role, in the space or an equivalent high reliability sector.
- Good understanding of FPGA technology for space.
- Experience with VHDL and System Verilog.
- Experience with FPGA design tools including Vivado, Modelsim and Libero.
- Understanding of digital communications and DSP.
- Leading complex FPGA projects.
- Specialist knowledge in any of the following areas would be advantageous: High reliability design and analysis (Space, Military, Automotive, etc), Knowledge of LEO/GEO communications payloads, Signal integrity analysis.
