MD5 Limited, based in Normanton, West Yorkshire, is excited to offer an opportunity for Experienced Digital Forensic Analyst(s) to join one of the UK's leading digital and eForensics organisations. We proudly support a wide range of clients, including Law Enforcement and Government Agencies, as well as Corporate and Legal firms. Please note that some casework may involve exposure to sensitive and potentially distressing material (e.g., indecent images of children).

The Role

This position involves working across the full spectrum of digital/eForensic analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the acquisition and investigation of a wide range of electronic evidence and have 3 years’ experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquisition and examination of digital devices and electronic evidence
  • Documentation and reporting of forensic findings in line with legal and procedural standards
  • Supporting criminal, civil, or internal investigations
  • Maintaining chain of custody and evidence integrity
  • Potentially providing expert witness testimony

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Digital Forensic Analyst (three years preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of digital hardware, file systems, and operating system artefacts
  • Understanding of the legal frameworks and forensic principles surrounding electronic evidence
  • Experience using forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, X-Ways, Cellebrite, Magnet AXIOM, etc.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to explain complex technical findings clearly
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
