MD2 Recruitment Ltd are currently seeking experienced and enthusiastic Functional Skills Maths and English Tutors to support learners working towards Functional Skills qualifications. This is an excellent opportunity for self-employed tutors who are passionate about helping young people and adults develop their confidence, knowledge and skills in Maths and English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Functional Skills Maths and/or English sessions.
  • Assess learners' current abilities and identify areas for development.
  • Create and implement individual learning plans.
  • Prepare learners for Functional Skills examinations.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and reports where required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience delivering Functional Skills Maths and/or English.
  • Relevant teaching, tutoring or education qualification.
  • Strong understanding of Functional Skills curriculum and assessment criteria.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to motivate and engage learners from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Experience supporting learners with SEND, ADHD, ASD or SEMH needs would be advantageous.
