To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing while ensuring all care is delivered in line with agreed care plans and regulatory standards.
- Deliver personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
- Support with medication administration (where trained)
- Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Support with mobility, including use of hoists and equipment (where trained)
- Carry out light household duties (cleaning, laundry, shopping)
- Maintain accurate care records and report any changes in service users' conditions
- Follow care plans and risk assessments at all times
- Promote independence and encourage service users to make their own choices
- Safeguard service users and report any concerns in line with policies
Requirements:
- Previous experience in care is essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Understanding of safeguarding and person-centred care
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
